Crystal Hefner, the widow of Playboy founder Hugh Hefner, recently opened up to her stepson Marston Hefner about what drew her to his father. In a first look at the inaugural episode of her “Beneath the Surface” podcast, Crystal recalls meeting Hugh Hefner at a party in San Diego.
She tells Marston that she had never seen a celebrity in her life and didn't think she was pretty enough to attend the party. However, she submitted her photos and was invited to the party. Crystal explains that her super extroverted friend dragged her over to the fray where she saw everyone flocking to Hugh Hefner. She describes him as very nice and magnetic, and that's how she felt. She felt like she was in this magnetic pull. Crystal began dating Hugh in 2009, and the pair got engaged in December 2010, but Crystal called off the engagement.
