The singer confirmed that the reel was taken from a vacation around 'three months ago,' as she enjoyed the intimacy of a private island getaway . The timeframe of the trip appears to correspond to a vacation the Hold Me Closer singer took to French Polynesia in early October while staying at The Brando hotel  . 

The video was posted amid news breaking on Tuesday that her father Jamie Spears had his leg amputated around a month ago . Britney has publicly feuded with him over the 13-year conservatorship he headed . However, sources told the outlet that Britney has felt sympathetic to the plight of her father, paving the way toward a potential reconciliation .
