Kevin Costner, the star of Yellowstone, has found love again with singer-songwriter Jewel, months after his bitter divorce from Christine Baumgartner.

The couple, who met on the set of the hit show, have been spotted together in various locations, sparking rumors of a budding relationship.

But both Costner and Jewel have faced their own financial challenges in the past, with the actor paying a hefty sum to his ex-wife and the singer losing millions to her estranged mother.

## Costner's costly divorce

Costner, 68, married Baumgartner, 47, in 2004, after dating for four years. They have three children together: Cayden, 16, Hayes, 14, and Grace, 11.

But their marriage fell apart in 2022, amid allegations of infidelity and irreconcilable differences. The divorce was finalized in February 2023, after a contentious legal battle.

According to court documents, Costner was ordered to pay $63,000 a month in child support, as well as half of his income from Yellowstone and other projects. He also had to give up several properties and assets to his ex-wife, as per their prenuptial agreement.

Costner, who has a net worth of $400 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth, was reportedly unhappy with the settlement, but agreed to it to avoid further drama.

Jewel's mother's betrayal

Jewel, 49, has a much lower net worth of $14 million, according to the same source. But she was once worth much more, until she discovered that her mother, Lenedra Carroll, had embezzled over $100 million from her.

Jewel, who was born in Utah and raised in Alaska, rose to fame in the mid-1990s with her debut album, Pieces of You, which sold over 12 million copies in the US. She went on to release several more successful albums, as well as books, poetry, and jewelry.

She also founded a non-profit organization, Project Clean Water, to provide access to safe water for people in need.

But in 2003, she learned that her mother, who was also her manager, had been stealing from her for years, leaving her broke and in debt.

In an interview with the Verywell Mind Podcast in March 2023, Jewel revealed that her mother had been abusive and manipulative since her childhood, and that she had cut ties with her after the scandal.

She said that her mother had used her power of attorney to take out loans, mortgages, and credit cards in her name, as well as siphoning money from her accounts and royalties.

She also said that her mother had lied to her about her health, claiming that she had cancer and needed money for treatment.

Jewel said that she had to sue her mother to get some of her money back, but that she never received an apology or an explanation from her.

She said that she had to rebuild her finances and her career from scratch, and that she had learned to be more careful and independent.

A fresh start

Despite their past troubles, Costner and Jewel seem to have found happiness and solace in each other.

They have been seen holding hands, kissing, and cuddling in public, as well as spending time with each other's families.

They have also collaborated on music, with Jewel performing on the soundtrack of Yellowstone and Costner joining her on stage at some of her concerts.

Sources close to the couple say that they have a lot in common, and that they are very supportive and respectful of each other.

They also say that they are not in a rush to get married or have children, but that they are enjoying their romance and their friendship.

Costner and Jewel have not officially confirmed their relationship, but they have not denied it either.

They have both expressed their gratitude and appreciation for their fans and their work, and have said that they are happy and fulfilled with their lives.
