The NFL Honors, the annual awards show that recognizes the best players, coaches and moments of the season, was hosted by Keegan-Michael Key on Thursday night at the Resorts World Theatre in Las Vegas.
The Emmy-winning actor, writer and producer, who returned as host for the third time, delivered a hilarious monologue that included some jokes about Taylor Swift and her boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.
Key, who is a fan of the Chiefs, said he was happy to see Swift join the Chiefs Kingdom, but warned her not to break Kelce’s heart.
"I’m so glad that Taylor Swift is part of our family now. She’s dating Travis Kelce, and they are so cute together," Key said. "But Taylor, I’m telling you right now, if you hurt him, we will write a song about you. And it will be catchy, and it will be mean, and it will be performed by the entire Chiefs roster at the Super Bowl halftime show."

Key also joked about how Swift influenced Kelce’s fashion choices, saying that he noticed Kelce wearing a cardigan at a recent press conference.
"I saw Travis Kelce wearing a cardigan the other day. A cardigan! I was like, ‘What is this, folklore?’" Key said, referring to Swift’s 2020 album. "And then I realized, oh, that’s Taylor’s cardigan. She gave it to him after they had sex in the woods."
The audience, which included some of the biggest names in the NFL, laughed and applauded Key’s jokes, while Swift and Kelce, who were sitting in the front row, smiled and kissed.
Swift and Kelce have been dating since October 2023, when they met at a charity event in Nashville. The pop star has been supporting her boyfriend and his team by attending Chiefs games and wearing Chiefs gear.
Among the Chiefs fans at the NFL Honors were the Hunt family, the owners of the team. Clark Hunt, the chairman and CEO of the Chiefs, his wife Tavia Hunt, a former Miss Kansas USA, and their daughter Gracie Hunt, the current Miss Kansas USA, all wore red outfits to show their loyalty to the Chiefs.
Gracie Hunt, who is also a pageant coach and a philanthropist, told DailyMail.com that she was excited to see her team play in the Super Bowl for the third consecutive year.
"It’s such an honor to be here and to represent the Chiefs and the NFL," she said. "We’re so proud of our team and our coaches and our staff. They’ve worked so hard and overcome so many challenges this season. We’re ready to cheer them on and hopefully bring home another Lombardi Trophy."
The Chiefs will face the Los Angeles Rams in Super Bowl LVI on Sunday at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.
