Nicki Minaj has issued an apology to her fans after an arrest in Amsterdam forced her to postpone a Manchester show on her "Pink Friday 2" tour. The rapper, dressed entirely in pink, addressed a crowd outside her Manchester hotel, expressing regret over the incident.

"I love you and I’m sorry this happened tonight," Minaj, 41, said to her fans, known as Barbz, who had gathered to see her.

The rapper was scheduled to perform at Manchester’s Co-op Live Arena on Saturday night. However, she was detained in Amsterdam on suspicion of drug possession. Minaj took to social media to explain the situation, stating she had "sooooooooo much video evidence" and vowed to let her lawyers handle the matter.

“Thank you to everyone who prayed for me today,” she tweeted. “May God cover you & all that is connected to you. May you be blessed beyond your imagination. I’ll have the lawyers & GOD take it from here tho. Please please please accept my deepest & most sincere apologies.”

Minaj live-streamed parts of her arrest, showing officers instructing her to stop recording and enter a police vehicle. She initially refused, asking to speak to her lawyer, but eventually complied. Authorities claimed they found marijuana in her luggage, a charge Minaj found ironic given the drug’s legal status in Amsterdam. She suggested that her previous management might have orchestrated the incident.

"All b/c I fired mngmnt who I found out for years were adding o n 30-50K on my jet & pocketing it,” she alleged on social media.

Dutch authorities confirmed that Minaj had been booked on suspicion of exporting soft drugs and fined. Despite the ordeal, Minaj expressed her desire to reconnect with her fans, inviting them to her Manchester hotel for a chance to see her.

Minaj is expected to perform in Manchester on May 30, continuing her tour.
