London, May 19, 2024 — Rob Rinder, the renowned criminal barrister and TV presenter, is grieving the loss of his beloved grandmother, Frances. The 96-year-old matriarch passed away recently, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.

In a heartfelt Instagram post, Rob shared a selection of photos from his grandmother’s life. He captioned the post: “My beloved Grandma Frances passed away yesterday at 96. She adored me, her grandchildren & great-grandchildren with FIERCE love. What a limitless gift it is to have had her in my life. Hold those who love you truly & unconditionally close.”

Rob expressed gratitude to social care organization Jewish Care for their support in looking after his grandmother during her later years.

The photos shared by Rob capture poignant moments: Frances at an awards ceremony, a sepia-tinged image of her as a young woman, and heartwarming snapshots of Rob and his grandma together. Their bond was evident in every frame.

Rob’s celebrity friends rallied around him, offering heartfelt condolences. Vanessa Feltz, former This Morning host Ruth Langsford, Catherine Tyldesley, presenter Gaby Roslin, and Strictly star Angela Scanlon all reached out to express their sympathy.

Rob’s emotional journey extends beyond his grandmother’s passing. Recently, he connected with friend and co-star Rylan Clark, who revealed his own struggles with suicidal feelings after a marriage breakdown. Rob’s tears flowed as they discussed their painful divorces during a trip across Italy for a new BBC Two series.
