Sean "Diddy" Combs has reacted to a troubling video released by CNN on May 19, which shows him violently attacking his then-girlfriend Cassie Ventura in a Los Angeles hotel in March 2016. The footage depicts Combs chasing Cassie down a hallway, throwing her to the floor, kicking her, and dragging her by her sweatshirt.

A source close to Combs revealed that the rapper is "incensed" about the video's release, asserting it doesn't capture the full context of the incident. "He insists it doesn’t tell the full story about what happened," the source told The Post. Despite his anger over the video's portrayal, Combs has publicly apologized for his actions, calling his behavior "inexcusable."

In his Instagram statement, Combs expressed remorse, saying, "I take full responsibility for my actions in that video. I’m disgusted." Cassie, who is now married to Alex Fine, also addressed the video, thanking supporters and emphasizing her ongoing recovery from the traumatic experience

The video's emergence follows federal raids on Combs' LA and Miami homes related to a sex trafficking investigation. Cassie filed a lawsuit against Combs in November 2023, accusing him of rape and abuse. Although Combs denied the allegations, they reached a settlement the next day. Subsequently, Combs has faced six additional lawsuits accusing him of various forms of sexual misconduct.
