Hip hop star 2 Chainz was injured in a car accident in Miami early Saturday morning (December 9) when a drunk driver slammed into his vehicle on I-95. The rapper was leaving an Art Basel party when the collision occurred, totaling his car and sending him to the hospital.

According to TMZ, the driver of the Tesla that hit 2 Chainz was suspected of driving under the influence and was arrested at the scene. The rapper, whose real name is Tauheed Epps, was hit from behind and suffered minor injuries. He was taken to a nearby hospital in stable condition and later shared a video of himself being loaded into an ambulance on his Instagram stories.

The accident comes as 2 Chainz is promoting his latest collaborative album with Lil Wayne, Welcome to ColleGrove, which features guest appearances from 50 Cent, Roddy Ricch, Kevin Durant, and more. The rapper recently revealed on the Rap Radar podcast that he wrote the skits for 50 Cent to perform on the album and that he wanted to create some buzz by making people think that 50 was involved in the project.

2 Chainz also said that he had some difficulties clearing some samples and features for the album, including a Prince sample and a Roddy Ricch verse. He also said that he and Lil Wayne recorded about 60 percent of the album together in the studio.

2 Chainz is known for his hit songs such as "I'm Different", "No Lie", "Birthday Song", and "It's A Vibe". He has also collaborated with artists such as Drake, Kanye West, Nicki Minaj, Ariana Grande, and more. He has won four Grammy Awards and has been nominated for several others.

We wish 2 Chainz a speedy recovery and hope that he can resume his musical activities soon.
