Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee has been sued by a woman who claims he sexually assaulted her in a helicopter in 2003.

The woman, who filed the lawsuit anonymously, alleges that Lee and another man, identified as David Martz, invited her to join them on a helicopter ride from Los Angeles to San Diego on February 25, 2003.

According to the lawsuit, Lee and Martz drank alcohol, smoked marijuana and snorted cocaine during the flight, and then forced themselves on the woman without her consent. The lawsuit claims that Lee groped, kissed and penetrated the woman, while Martz filmed the assault on his phone.

The woman says she was terrified and traumatized by the ordeal, and that she suffered physical and emotional injuries as a result. She is seeking unspecified damages for sexual battery, assault, negligence, intentional infliction of emotional distress and false imprisonment.

Lee's attorney, Martin Singer, denied the allegations and called the lawsuit "a blatant attempt to extract money from a famous musician." Singer said that Lee had never met the woman, and that the lawsuit was filed after the statute of limitations had expired.

The lawsuit comes amid a wave of sexual misconduct accusations against Lee, who is also facing a separate lawsuit from a former security guard who claims Lee assaulted him in 2017. Lee has denied both lawsuits and vowed to fight them in court.

Lee is best known as the drummer of the heavy metal band Mötley Crüe, which was formed in 1981 and sold over 100 million albums worldwide. Lee is also known for his turbulent personal life, including his marriages to actresses Heather Locklear and Pamela Anderson, and his infamous sex tape with Anderson that was leaked in 1995..
