The ongoing dispute between rapper Travis Scott and tennis legend John McEnroe over their collaborative Nike sneakers has taken a new turn, as McEnroe vandalized a pair of the shoes and posted a video of his act on Instagram.

The sneakers, dubbed the Nike Mac Attack, are a revamped version of McEnroe's signature shoe from the 1980s, with Scott adding his Cactus Jack branding and design elements.

However, McEnroe was not happy with Scott's creative input and wanted the sneakers to be named Cactus Mac instead of Cactus Jack, sparking a heated argument between the two during a Zoom call that went viral over the weekend.

In the video posted on Sunday (December 10) by The People Gallery, McEnroe can be seen writing "Mac" over Scott's logo on the heel of the shoe with a marker, while wearing a T-shirt that says "Cactus Mac" in the style of Scott's logo.

He also addresses Scott directly in the video, saying: "I was wearing these things in the '80s before this guy was born. Now, all of a sudden Travis Scott's got this thing, Cactus Jack, so I just made it Cactus Mac. I mean, come on. A bit of respect — that's all I'm asking for."

The video has received mixed reactions from fans and critics, with some calling McEnroe a "legend" and a "troll", while others accusing him of being "petty" and "disrespectful".

Some also speculated that the whole feud might be a publicity stunt orchestrated by Nike to generate buzz for the sneakers, which are expected to drop soon.

Neither Scott nor Nike have responded to McEnroe's latest move.
