New York City, April 5, 2024 — Hollywood superstar Angelina Jolie and her 15-year-old daughter, Vivienne Jolie-Pitt, were all smiles as they attended a preview performance of the new Broadway musical “The Outsiders”. The mother-daughter duo posed with the cast and crew at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre ahead of the official launch on April 11.

Angelina Jolie, who is working as a lead producer on the show, has been collaborating closely with Vivienne, who serves as her volunteer assistant. The 1983 film version of “The Outsiders”, starring  Matt Dillon, holds a special place in cinematic history, and now the story comes to life on the Broadway stage.

The musical, based on S.E. Hinton’s novel, follows the Curtis brothers and their friends in 1960s-era Tulsa. The plot revolves around the greasers, a gang of working-class teens, and their conflicts with the wealthier Socs. The film version featured stars like Tom Cruise, C. Thomas Howell, Diane Lane, and Matt Dillon.
