Rupert Murdoch, the chairman emeritus of Fox Corporation and News Corp., and molecular biologist Elena Zhukova tied the knot on Saturday evening at Murdoch’s Bel Air, California, winery, Moraga. The couple, who got engaged earlier this year, celebrated their nuptials in the picturesque Santa Monica Mountains.

Photos from the event showed the radiant couple beaming at the Los Angeles property, with Zhukova dressed in an elegant white gown and Murdoch in a dapper dark suit.

Murdoch, 93, and Zhukova, who have been seen together at high-profile events, including the Breakthrough Prize ceremony in April, chose the intimate setting of Moraga for their wedding. The vineyard, once the home and ranch of renowned director Victor Fleming, was transformed into a vineyard in the 1980s by Tom and Ruth Jones and has been Murdoch’s Los Angeles home since 2013.

>The Breakthrough Prize ceremony, often dubbed “the Oscars of science,” awarded prizes in life sciences, physics, and math. Murdoch and Zhukova attended the event at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures, marking one of their first public appearances as an engaged couple.

Murdoch, whose media empire includes Fox News and the Wall Street Journal, stepped down as chairman of Fox Corporation in November, passing the reins to his son, Lachlan Murdoch. Despite stepping back from his corporate duties, Murdoch remains a prominent figure in the media landscape.

The newlyweds also posed with Sia Godika, the teen winner of the Breakthrough Junior Challenge, highlighting their support for scientific achievements.

Murdoch’s winery, Moraga, serves as a testament to his varied interests beyond media, blending his appreciation for fine wine and history. The couple’s wedding at this storied location adds another chapter to its rich narrative.
